RC Laser 2013 State Championships

Patterson Lakes Radio Model Yacht Club was very happy to host this championships. Mario Gulic was the PRO and did an excellent job on the day. Below is a report from Mario.

The 2013 RC Laser Victorian Championship was held at the National Water Sports Centre in Patterson Lakes. Nine Skippers battled the conditions in very strange winds to say the least.
The weather was fine but over cast, and the rain held off for eventful day off sailing.
The Skipper to beat after winning the first 5 races was Scott Fleming, he was showing why he was the current champion with excellent speed, control and timing in picking the wind shifts. Second and third was a contest between Terry Rowe and Jurgen Luther. The best loser to get a bullet was Jayne Fleming Race 11.
Also behind the scenes I would like to thank all the efforts that were made, food, BBQ, Salads Yum, Canopy, and Trophies. You know who you are thank you for your efforts it was appreciated by all competitors.
I would also like to thank David Thomas for his organizing and the prizes, Mike Pender, Stephen Early, Tony Smith and Geoff Dawson for their help at this regatta.
